Responsibilities

The duties for this position may include, but are not limited to:

• Business Analysis
• Quickly understands the business issues and data challenges of client organization.
• The ability to utilize the product vision to define the requirements for the product.
• Supports planning and prioritization of the product feature backlog and development for the product solution
• Supports creation of product release plans and set expectation for delivery of new functionalities
• Provides an active role in mitigating impediments impacting successful team completion of Release/Sprint Goals
• Supports backlog management, iteration planning, and elaboration of the user stories
• Actively supports user acceptance test case development and testing
• Ensures issues are identified, tracked, reported on and resolved in a timely manner
• Facilitate and negotiate sometimes competing interests of Business Owner and Technical teams
• Supports the design of meaningful data reports, dashboards, and other data visualizations
• The ability to understand the business and translate the business requirements into user stories.
• The ability to analyze the business need to create, update, and manage backlog stories.
• The ability to understand and explain business needs to the Development team, and the ability to explain why and how the system is built to business stakeholders
• The ability to manage competing priorities and escalate critical issues
• Understand the technical composition of the system and the interconnections with supporting systems.
• Provide logistical, knowledge management, and communications support for 
• Record meeting notes and provide clear and concise syntheses of meetings and events as needed.
• Conduct research as needed on key technical topics.
• Prepare cost estimates, modifications, and/or contractual agreements.
• Liaise across all programs and portfolios to increase cohesion across project.
• Seek opportunities to identify more creative, efficient and effective ways to engage audiences and facilitate enhanced learning communities.

Monitoring and Evaluation Analyst

• Assist with leading Monitoring and Evaluation activities including data collection, preparing data for monthly and annual reports and assess progress towards project objectives.
• Assist with managing and improving quantitative data collection systems that facilitate project reporting.
• When needed, assist with perform qualitative data collection through key informant interviews, ranging from Washington DC practitioners, to USAID Mission staff in country.
• Identify and support activities to develop and test best practices for this project.
• Share project monitoring and evaluation learning with the project team and its stakeholders.

Qualifications

The candidate for this position must have:

• Effective communication and leadership skills
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Thorough understanding of agile processes. CSM certification is a plus
• Experience writing user stories, preferably following Behavior Driven Development (BDD) principles
• Experience working with tools such as JIRA or VSTS
• Ability to read data model documentation
• Ability to develop basic data queries and reports

Education and Other Skills

Bachelor of Arts degree in Information Systems or a related field or have gained experience equivalent to this educational requirement

Responsibilities

The duties for this position may include, but are not limited to:

• Support the design and implementation of Business Intelligence (BI) solutions developed in Tableau and other tools and services in the Microsoft Azure environment.
• Design, upgrade, and improve data warehouse schema and other semantic BI data sources.
• Design and develop ETL data functions to transfer organizational data into data warehouse environments.
• Develop and tune complex SQL queries for enterprise reports and dashboards.
• Code advanced SQL for Database Views and Stored Procedures.
• Resolve highly complex issues, conduct advanced research, and recommend innovations.
• Provide technical support and assistance to other team members.
• Assume the role of task coordinator on complex tasks support by multiple work teams.

Qualifications

The candidate for this position must have:

• A minimum of 5 years’ experience developing and maintaining databases and reports
• Experience as a BI or enterprise reports developer
• Experience in enterprise database or data warehouse design and development
• Experience with developing automated data extraction, transformation, and loading processes
• Working knowledge of BI technologies, preferably including SQL Server and Tableau/Power BI
• Experience in developing complex SQL queries
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work in a team
• Good communication skills
